Privacy Policy — Bazi Compass

This policy explains what the Bazi Compass Android app collects, why, and who else sees it. It covers Bazi Compass only; the Lexio app has a separate policy.

Read this part if you read nothing else. To produce a reading, the birth details you enter and the questions you ask are sent to Google's Gemini model through our server. Your birth date, time and place are personal data, and chart questions are often private. Everything below describes how that is handled and how to erase it.

Your account

The app supports three ways in, and they differ in what we learn about you:

  • Anonymous — no email, no name. A random identifier ties your charts and credits to the device. If you lose the device or reinstall, that account cannot be recovered.
  • Email and password — we store your email address so you can sign in again and recover access.
  • Sign in with Google — Google tells us your email address and account identifier. We do not receive your Google password, nor access to anything else in your Google account.

What we store on our servers

DataWhy
Birth date, time and place you enter for a chart, plus any name you give itTo calculate the chart and to let you open a saved chart again later
The calculated chart itselfCached so it need not be recomputed
Your questions and the interpretations produced in replySo a conversation has history and you can reread past readings
Credit balance, subscription tier, and a log of credit movementsTo run the paid features and to resolve billing disputes
How many rewarded ads you watched todayTo enforce the daily limit and prevent abuse
Your interface languageTo generate readings in the right language

Charts you enter for other people — a partner, a child, a friend — are stored the same way. Please only enter someone else's birth details if they have agreed to it.

Our database is hosted on Supabase infrastructure. Access is restricted per user at the database level, so one account cannot read another's charts or conversations.

What is stored on your device

The app keeps a local cache of your charts and settings so it opens quickly and works while briefly offline. Uninstalling the app clears that cache, but does not delete your account or the data on our servers — see deleting your data below.

Who else receives your data

Google (Gemini) — AI interpretations

When you request an interpretation, our server sends the relevant chart data and your question to Google's Gemini model and returns the answer to the app. The request goes from our server, never directly from your phone, and it does not carry your email address or account identifier. Google processes it as our service provider under their terms for API customers.

RevenueCat — purchases

If you buy credits or a subscription, purchase validation is handled by RevenueCat together with Google Play. They receive the purchase details and an identifier for your account. We never see your card number: payment is handled entirely by Google Play.

Google AdMob — optional rewarded ads

Watching an ad to earn credits is always optional; nothing in the app requires it. When you choose to watch one, Google AdMob serves it and may use your device's advertising identifier to select and measure it, as described in Google's own privacy policy. You can reset or delete that identifier in your Android settings. We also verify completed ad views server-side, which tells us that a view happened — not what was advertised to you.

Supabase — hosting

Supabase hosts the database, authentication and server functions on our behalf, and processes data only on our instructions.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers listed above.

Legal basis and retention

Under the GDPR we process your data to perform the service you asked for (calculating charts, producing readings, running purchases), to meet legal obligations such as keeping records of transactions, and — for optional rewarded ads — on the basis of your consent, given by choosing to watch one.

We keep your charts and conversations until you delete them or delete your account. Records of purchases are kept for as long as tax and accounting law in Poland requires, even after account deletion.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual charts and conversations inside the app at any time. To delete your account and everything attached to it, use the account deletion option in the app, or write to contact@astrallabs.eu from the address you signed up with and we will erase it. Anonymous accounts can be erased by contacting us from the device in question.

You also have the right to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to receive a copy, to object to processing, and to complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO).

Children

Bazi Compass is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.

Who is responsible

The data controller is the business named below. For any privacy question, write to contact@astrallabs.eu.
